The Syracuse Orange men's basketball team is poised for another exciting season under the leadership of head coach Jim Boeheim. With a mix of experienced veterans and talented newcomers, the Orange are looking to make a deep run in the NCAA Tournament.
The Orange will open their season on November 7th against the Lehigh Mountain Hawks at the JMA Wireless Dome. They will then host the Colgate Raiders on November 10th before embarking on a three-game road trip to face the Villanova Wildcats, the Indiana Hoosiers, and the Maryland Terrapins.
Syracuse will return home to host the Florida Gators on December 3rd before traveling to face the North Carolina Tar Heels on December 10th. They will then host the Pittsburgh Panthers on December 17th and the Wake Forest Demon Deacons on December 21st.
The Orange will open conference play on December 30th at home against the Boston College Eagles. They will then travel to face the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets on January 4th and the Virginia Cavaliers on January 7th.
Syracuse will host the Duke Blue Devils on January 11th before traveling to face the Louisville Cardinals on January 14th. They will then host the Notre Dame Fighting Irish on January 18th and the NC State Wolfpack on January 21st.
The Orange will travel to face the Clemson Tigers on January 25th before returning home to host the Miami Hurricanes on January 28th. They will then travel to face the Florida State Seminoles on February 1st and the Pittsburgh Panthers on February 4th.
Syracuse will host the Notre Dame Fighting Irish on February 8th before traveling to face the Boston College Eagles on February 11th. They will then host the Virginia Tech Hokies on February 15th and the Duke Blue Devils on February 18th.
The Orange will travel to face the Louisville Cardinals on February 22nd before returning home to host the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets on February 25th. They will then travel to face the North Carolina Tar Heels on March 1st and the NC State Wolfpack on March 4th.
Syracuse will close out the regular season at home against the Wake Forest Demon Deacons on March 8th.
The ACC Tournament will be held from March 7th to March 11th at the Greensboro Coliseum in Greensboro, North Carolina. The Orange will be looking to win their first ACC Tournament title since 2006.
Syracuse is currently projected to be a No. 5 seed in the ACC Tournament. They would open the tournament on Wednesday, March 8th, against the winner of the No. 12 seed and No. 13 seed game.
The NCAA Tournament will be held from March 14th to April 2nd at various sites across the country. The Orange are currently projected to be a No. 7 seed in the NCAA Tournament. They would open the tournament on Thursday, March 16th, against the winner of the No. 10 seed and No. 11 seed game.
Syracuse has won the NCAA Tournament once, in 2003. They have also been the runner-up twice, in 1987 and 2013.
