The highly anticipated matchup between the Philadelphia Phillies and the Atlanta Braves on August 19, 2023 at Truist Park in Atlanta, Georgia, was a thrilling contest that showcased the best of both teams. The Phillies put the game away in the seventh inning with three more runs, including a two-run homer by Matt Vierling. The Braves added two more runs in the eighth inning, but it was too little, too late as the Phillies held on for a 11-7 victory.
